My Designs For Alternative Miss World
Design 1
The first design included one half different to the other, this is the design for miss balls which includes ball pit balls cut into half and stuck onto 1/4 of the costume. this would also include the left leg that would feature ball pit balls on the bottom of the leg. gold fabric would be used on the left leg and would feature a flare type of bottom instead of a straight cut leg. an extended collar will also be included to the costume to enhance the feeling of class to the overall look of the costume. I like the design but certain constraints are posed when trying to afford the materials for the costume as funds are limited and they have a certain budget because of this. so overall the design is nice however due to the costs it would not be feasible to create.

Alternative Miss World
For my Alternative Miss World project I have been looking at making a half and half garment like what Andrew makes and wears at all Alternative Miss World events. In my sketchbook I have done a lot of different designs for this. As you can see I have done a range of designs and I have favoritised this one but after doing some researched on how to make this dress, however I have made an executive decision to not make this design.
This is
the piece I have decided to make this design because I have been looking the
colourful side of Alternative Miss World. This is because I love colour so
much. This design came from looking at more than just colour I have also been
looking at the texture of the garment as well. So I have used a fluffy far
material for the left leg, it is bright red and soft.

My idea so far
For my Alternative Miss World project I am looking at building a garment instead of just making one. I will be trying different materials out like, cardboard, paper, different fabrics, glink, Wilow, buttons, tin foil and anything else I find on my travels.
