Renishaw Hall
When I first walked into Renishaw Hall it felt like a very warm homely family home, it didn't really feel like I was going into a show house, it looked and felt like it was and is still lived in. It was very interesting to see how the Sitwells live now and to hear about how they lived through out the last 400 years. The garden of Renishaw Hall was very beautiful and I love how all the statues were looking out at nature and not looking towards the house.
Quote from Alexandra
Renishaw has been in my family for nearly 400 years and generations of Sitwells have made their mark on the architecture, gardens and wider estate which comprise Renishaw and so much of what you see on your visit. I hope you will thoroughly enjoy your time at Renishaw now it is under my care and still very much a family home.
On this picture there are two statues and they both have something on them that shouldn't be there. On the left one there is a pair of glasses this is because someone left their glasses so they put them on him so if the owner came back to get them but that was in 1960's. As for the other one has a hand bag and a fever in his hand and this is because of the way he is standing.
