Ways to Cut Wood

Plainsawn Cut is the easiest and the cut that has the least waste so it is cheaper and this way is the most used type of cut. But it also doesn't look good and its not as strong.

Quartersawn Cut has annual rings when you look down the wood. This type of cut doesn't have much waste but it's harder to cut. It's stronger that the Plainsawn cut or the Riftsawn cut. The Quartersawn cut also has an interesting look with the Flecks and Rays.

Riftsawn Cut is the most expensive way of cutting wood and has the most waste but it's also the strongest and easy to cut after. This type of cut is the one that looks most similar to other pieces.
